The City of Mandurah’s libraries have made it easier than ever for the community to enjoy even more eBooks and eAudiobooks anywhere, anytime via www.mandurah.wa.gov.au/Libraries.htm.
With the addition of a new service, powered by Wheeler ePlatform, users can enjoy an additional 600 new titles added to the Mandurah Libraries electronic collection.
Users can now access thousands of titles, from bestsellers to the classics, when and where it suits them. The electronic resources include eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines which automatically expire after the set loan period which eliminates late fees.
Deputy Mayor Darren Lee said the City’s accessible library programs are a great way to expand on the libraries’ current services and keep up with advances in technology.
“It’s part of the City’s commitment to ensuring libraries remain relevant and user- friendly and the online services are a key component to staying connected with our increasing mobile, fast-paced lifestyles,” he said.
To take advantage of the free eBooks service, users will need a valid library card and a mobile device such as an iPad, Sony Reader or Android device, or the books can be downloaded to a PC or Mac. The eBooks will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.
