Applications are now open for round one of the Shire of Murray's Community Assistance Fund.
The Fund aims to assist community groups to build and strengthen their organisational capacity, develop skills, or host an event. It is designed to help deliver services in the Shire of Murray that will contribute to building vibrant, inclusive and healthy communities.
“Applications are invited four times each year with a maximum grant allocation of $1,500 per community group or organisation,” said Shire President Cr. Wally Barrett.
Projects eligible to receive funding may include training programs, course costs or event hosting in the Shire of Murray. Applicants must be an incorporated not-for-profit sport, recreation or community organisation.
"The Shire of Murray is fortunate to have a multitude of hard working community groups throughout the district.
“The funding rounds are competitive, so applicants are encouraged to be clear and concise in their submission, with particular emphasis on how the project or event will benefit both the Group and the wider Murray community,” said Cr. Barrett.
Applications for round one of the Community Assistance Fund close Friday 21 August, 2015.
