Beach closures didn't prevent success at National Bodyboarding Titles for local Mandurah boys
The Surfing Australia National Bodyboarding Titles were held in Coff's Harbour at Diggers Beach, August 13 - 17 with local boys Jordyn Ihms, Brad Harrington, Henry Gibson and Matt Hanks all doing exceptionally well.
Noah Symmans from Albany took out the Open Men's Category whilst Jordyn Ihms from Falcon came 3rd. Brad Harrington also from Mandurah made it to quarter finals. Jordyn has been selected for the Australian Team and will be competing in Chile in December.
Henry Gibson and Matt Hanks made it to the Cadet Finals (Under 16 boys) but were unable to finish the heat due to multiple shark sightings. The competition was shut down due to a Bronze Whaler Shark, state reports. The boys share equal 4th place finish as the competition was not completed.
