Vineyard 28 - a boutique vineyard on the edge of the Peel Region

Vinyard 28 is owned and operated by Pippa and Mark Cumbers. Situated on 270 Bagieau Road in Harvey the boutique vineyard is on the way to Bunbury off Old Coast Road.

The property is surrounded by forest and the vineyard has picnic and BBQ facilities.

As well as producing wine throughout the year Vineyard 28 displays artwork and quilts from local quiltmakers and artists all of which are available for purchase.

Mark is the vineyard's winemaker. Pippa makes quilts and enjoys all things Italian. Combining all their passions the couple's wine is predominantly made up of Italian varieties including Arneis, Dolcetto, Moscato and Nebbiolo. Mark also makes Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.

The vineyard's wines have won a string of awards and in June 2015, Mark and Pippa took out the South-West Small Business Award.

Vineyard Tours take around 2 hours and are for anyone who would like to know more about the wine-making process. Bookings are essential, children are free and the minimum cost is $80 per tour for up to 10 people.

Vineyard 28 has a lot going on! They have a comprehensive website which you can find by clicking here which is well worth a look. In early December the vineyard will be holding their Annual Quilt Exhibtion in keeping with the tradition of 'airing of the quilts' where handmade quilts are hung outside.

To try some amazing Italian wines and to view the quilts and craft Vineyard 28 is a must!
